Novel and Story Critique Service

You’ve worked hard on your writing; months, maybe even years of plotting and planning, writing and rewriting have finally paid off and you’ve reached those magical words, “The End”.

Now what?

Do you search for a publisher or let your work moulder in a file somewhere?

That little voice in your head wants to believe it’s good enough to publish, but you’re not sure and can’t quite trust your own judgement. Perhaps you’re too close to it and need a fresh eye to gauge your storytelling. Maybe you’d just like an honest, unbiased opinion.

Or, maybe you’ve worked on your piece but somehow it just isn’t working and you’re not sure why or what to do to fix it. Are you half way through but feel as though you’ve lost the plot? Do you find yourself constantly going back to the beginning and tinkering with odd words, sentences or paragraphs?

In both cases what you need is a critique.

Deb Sutton is an experienced, proficient writer published in both fiction and nonfiction with a first class degree in Creative Writing. She knows what makes a piece of writing work and what can sometimes let it down. She can spot inconsistancies and plot misdirections at thirty paces and knows just how to put them right.

Sensitive and creative critique can help to pinpoint the pivotal moments in the story and maximise their effect. It can help with the accurate and discreet foreshadowing of important events, and highlight areas that need to either slow down or speed up.

But it’s so much more.

My critiques differs from the critiques you’ll get from a writers group. For a start a lot more time and effort will be invested in your work (after all, you’re paying for it and naturally expect it). Secondly, my critique won’t be done with a friendship in mind.

This is business, and you want and deserve the truth.

Whilst a critique from me will never destroy your work, it won’t butter you up either. The work will stand alone, on its own two feet, and receive a detailed and honest appraisal.

I was overwhelmed with the excellent service Deborah Sutton provided.

I was presented with a detailed and honest critique which dramatically improved the quality of my writing. Making the small changes Deborah suggested made a huge difference! I am currently working on my second manuscript which I shall be sending to Deborah as soon as I think it’s finished!!

I would recommend Deborah Sutton to anyone starting out in writing and also those experienced writers who need an honest and professional opinion. Her friendly and professional critique service is of the highest standard and Deborah will work with you to ensure that your manuscript is ready to impress the publishers!!

Thank you Deborah!!
